Technology in Classrooms
Welcome to my blog where I will be updating my readers about the latest ways of incorporating technology into our classrooms! I am a senior graduating from Rutgers this may with a BA in history. I just applied to graduate schools where I intend to get my MAT in secondary social studies education.

My online communities!
The two professional development communities I've chosen are History Explorers and Geographic Education. I want my project to incorporate better understanding of the connections between social studies and geography. My minor was geography in college and I chose it based upon a random class I took, which I really enjoyed without expecting to. Little by little I began to see the relationships between history and geography. History is so affected by the cultures and attitudes of people and how people relate to their own homes. Geography studies the relationships between people and the places they live. Normally, history instructors don't attempt to teach their students about these connections but I think it makes social studies much more interesting when we make it three dimensional. I'm interested to see what current teachers are saying about geography in terms of its connections to social studies and how teachers incorporate both.
